A Visual Novel engine built for this generation — performance-first, creator-focused, and deeply customizable.
We’re currently developing a new Visual Novel (VN) engine tailored for modern creators. Our goal is to build a fully modular 2D engine with support for custom scripting, real-time character expression systems, and high-performance rendering.
What sets our engine apart is its low-level architecture — written in C++ and NASM (x64) — giving us full control over performance and flexibility. Unlike many proprietary tools, we aim to make our engine open-source after version 1.0, allowing the community to contribute and extend it freely.
We’re currently in the early stages of development — prototyping systems, testing workflows, and finalizing internal tools. Once the groundwork is complete, full-scale development will begin. We anticipate a stable v1.0 release in 4–5 years.
Team
ROMAN K. CHERNIKOV – Project Lead
Overseeing engine architecture, rendering pipeline, runtime systems, and performance optimization (SIMD).
CHINMAY ANAND – Volunteer Engineer
Working on the Character Expression (CE) system and debugging tools.
ANKIT SHAHI – Software Engineer
Building the scripting framework and handling the event system.
HRITIK SHAHI – Core Engineer
Leading core engine development in C++ and NASM (x64). Responsible for custom SIMD-based math libraries and modular engine components.
While only a few team members are listed here, the full squad is 12 strong (excluding support roles and external contributors) — think of the rest as unlockable characters, currently grinding on side quests like animation tooling, internal testing, asset creation, workflow visualization, and documentation planning. They’ll be unlocked soon… once we level up the development phase.
